Hello everyone, and welcome to Diva Worship! Ah! I am so, so, so happy you're listening. This is a podcast where we dish, dissect, and defend our divas. My name is Allen Darby, and I'm a non-binary actor, singer, writer, director, podcaster, and most importantly, a defender of divas.
I started this podcast because there's truly, truly nothing I love more than talking about powerful, beautiful and incredible women. And what better way to do that than in podcast form? I can't think of one. Also, we're in quarantine still - time stamping this - and I really have nothing else to do.

So on this podcast, I interview my fabulous friends, each week. Where they will discuss, defend, diatribe, diva-fy, delectable-ize, I'm just coming up with words that start with 'd' at this point, everything about their divas.

Like I said, there's nothing I love more in the world than hearing about someone's music taste, their movie taste, or just that one person you cannot get out of your brain.

I'll talk to my friend Segun about Tracy Chapman having a diva moment with an opera star.

And then I talk to my friend Brooke about how Barbra Streisand has just had to suffer being the most beautiful woman in show business

She's had to suffer looking like the way she looks.

She's had to suffer looking gorgeous, all the time.

Yeah!

Allen
And then I talk to my friend Zach about how some of Cher's early work was a little... bit... weird.

Zach
She was not "born in the wagon of a traveling show."

Allen
Ha ha ha. What? What? What!?

Zach
Her mother DID NOT "dance for the money they throw."
